Budbeam Tech ("Budbeam", "we") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the Budbeam mobile application (including both the phone app and the Budbeam app for supported projectors) and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following information:

• Account information — your email address, password (stored as a hash; we cannot read the plaintext), and an account identifier. Registration is required to use the Service.
• Purchase & transaction information — if you purchase paid content (such as a content pack), the transaction is processed by the App Store or Google Play. We only receive entitlement status and non-sensitive confirmation (such as an order identifier).
• Content usage information — which holiday scenes you download or play, and basic interaction and playback records. We use this to deliver content, verify your entitlements, and improve the Service.
• Device & connection information — device model, operating system and app version, device identifiers used for pairing and licensing, your IP address, and local-network information used to connect your phone and projector.
• Diagnostic information — we do not currently collect crash or diagnostic logs, and we do not use any third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. If we adopt an open-source, self-hosted diagnostic tool in the future, that data remains first-party and is not shared with third parties.
• Contact information — if you contact our support team at support@budbeam.top, we receive your email address and message.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, maintain and improve the Service;
• deliver the holiday projection content you request to your devices;
• complete device connection and casting;
• process purchases and verify entitlements;
• respond to your support requests;
• comply with legal obligations.

3. Device Connection

Budbeam may run on your phone, on a projector, or across both. When used with a projector, the devices connect over your local network (the same Wi-Fi/LAN). Casting and screen-mirroring take place on your local network — the media frames are not relayed through our servers. The movie content itself is downloaded from our servers to your device for playback.

The specific way devices connect may change as the app is updated.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as necessary to operate the Service:

• Payment platforms — the App Store and Google Play, to process purchases and transactions;
• Cloud hosting & infrastructure providers — to deliver content and provide account services.

We do not use any third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and we do not provide personal information to other third parties except the necessary partners listed above.

5. Storage & International Transfer

Budbeam Tech's operating entity is based in China. To provide the Service, your information may be transferred to and processed on our servers located in the United States and Europe. We apply reasonable safeguards to protect information during any cross-border transfer.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill our legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@budbeam.top. Where your request is subject to applicable data-protection law (such as the EU GDPR), we will respond within the period required by law (generally within 30 days).
